This organic cotton stole is slowly and softly woven using an old-style shuttle loom. This is the smallest size (MINI), woven to be the thinnest and shortest among our SMALL size stoles. It's a popular 100% cotton Banshu-ori scarf. The shorter length allows for a cute design when wrapped snugly around the neck or tucked into a shirt. The colorful palette makes it perfect not only for everyday use but also for travel and leisure. Furthermore, its silky smooth texture is gentle on the skin, making it an ideal gift. It can be worn by both men and women, regardless of the season.
*We recommend washing it in a laundry net on a delicate cycle.

【 JAPAN MADE 】Shuttle power loom
In 2013, I inherited a vintage shuttle loom from my mentor.
Using this rare loom, one of only a few remaining in Japan and still operating after nearly 80 years, I weave every fabric with care and intention.
By weaving slowly and reducing yarn tension to the absolute minimum, the fabric develops a remarkable softness, natural texture, and exceptional comfort against the skin.

This cotton is grown on farmland certified by an independent third-party organization after more than three years of cultivation in accordance with organic farming standards.
Full traceability is maintained throughout the entire supply chain, with every stage—from cultivation and distribution to storage and sales—carefully documented and verifiable. By providing clear information about when, where, and by whom the cotton was produced, as well as how it was distributed, consumers can have confidence in the authenticity and integrity of the organic cotton.
Fabric woven from this organic cotton offers exceptional softness, texture, and comfort against the skin. With each use, the fabric becomes even softer and fuller, developing a rich character and an exquisite feel that can be enjoyed for years to come.
【 Dyeing 】Natural dyeing, Earth dyeing
Dyes used for coloring textiles can generally be divided into two categories: natural dyes derived from plants and other natural sources, such as indigo and botanical dyes, and synthetic dyes that are chemically produced from petroleum-based materials.
For our yarn-dyed fabrics, we use reactive dyes. This dyeing method is known for its exceptional colorfastness and its ability to produce rich, vibrant colors with remarkable clarity.
Because our fabrics are dyed using reactive dyes, they offer a wide range of vivid color variations while maintaining excellent resistance to fading during everyday use.
We also employ the traditional skein-dyeing method, in which the yarn is dyed before weaving. Similar to hand-dyeing, this gentle process minimizes stress on the fibers, preserving the yarn’s natural softness and character while creating fabrics with exceptional texture and comfort.
