This cotton stole is woven on an old-style jacquard loom in Nishiwaki City, a region renowned for Banshu-ori textiles. It features an ethnic pattern that reveals hidden designs when viewed diagonally. The stole is woven to an ideal thickness, making it perfect for both wrapping and draping. When folded and wrapped, it is compact, but when unfurled, it offers a voluminous look. It can be used by anyone, regardless of gender or season.
*We recommend using a laundry net and washing on a delicate cycle.

In 2013, I inherited a vintage shuttle loom from my mentor.
Using this rare loom, one of only a few remaining in Japan and still operating after nearly 80 years, I weave every fabric with care and intention.
