This cotton stole is woven in Nishiwaki City, the birthplace of Banshu-ori, using an old-style jacquard loom. It features an ethnic pattern. Our original ethnic pattern has designs that appear when viewed at an angle, and it is woven to a thickness that is perfect for wrapping or draping. It can be used compactly when folded and wrapped, or with more volume when unfolded. It can be used by anyone, regardless of gender or season.
※We recommend using a laundry net and washing on a delicate cycle.
※Please refrain from using a tumble dryer.

In 2013, I inherited a vintage shuttle loom from my mentor.
Using this rare loom, one of only a few remaining in Japan and still operating after nearly 80 years, I weave every fabric with care and intention.
By weaving slowly and reducing yarn tension to the absolute minimum, the fabric develops a remarkable softness, natural texture, and exceptional comfort against the skin.
