This cotton stole is woven on a traditional jacquard loom in Nishiwaki City, a production center for Banshu-ori textiles. It features beautiful summer flowers, with hibiscus as the main motif. The original floral pattern is woven to a thickness that is perfect whether wrapped around the neck or draped over the shoulders. When folded, it can be used compactly, and when unfurled, it offers ample volume. It can be used by anyone, regardless of gender or season.
*We recommend using a laundry net and washing on a delicate cycle.
*Please refrain from using a tumble dryer.

In 2013, I inherited a vintage shuttle loom from my mentor.
Using this rare loom, one of only a few remaining in Japan and still operating after nearly 80 years, I weave every fabric with care and intention.
